Description: While EVERLAST boxing gloves are synonymous with one of America’s favorite sporting past times, it seems that today, the excitement has shifted from the boxing ring to current events. However, the EVERLAST brand is an American story in itself. First founded in 1910 in The Bronx, the brand went on to develop notoriety sponsoring world-class fighters like Muhammad Ali. In the 1950s, EVERLAST increased the size of its logo printed on its boxing gloves so that viewers could see it while watching boxing matches on their TV sets. This work is an ode to New York history, as well as to a brand synonymous with struggle and perseverance, which defines the pathway to the American dream.
