Robin Antar, The Thinker 1, 2010
Media: Honeycomb Calcite
Dimensions: 18”H X 18”W X 18”D White marble base: 18.5”L X 17.75”W X 3.25”D
Description: If we are to help future generations save the planet, thoughtfulness is what we need. In this piece, Antar actively processes conflicts by putting her energy into new work. The title of this piece references The Thinker, by Auguste Rodin in 1903. While Rodin’s bronze version is monumental in scale, this work is small enough to put in a person’s home or personal space, as a reminder to stop and ponder what the future could hold.

This work is from Antar’s Expressions in Stone series.
